What Happened in Khorenatsi Street Overnight?

Tension on Khorenatsi Street wouldn’t calm down. After the clash of the policemen and demonstrators injuries have been recorded, on which RA Ministry of Health provided information later.

According to the Ministry of Health 51 injured people applied to Yerevan’s hospitals, 29 of which are policemen. “15 people with injuries received outpatient medical care.

For the time being, as a result of the incident overnight 34 people are receiving their treatment at “Grigor Lusavorich,” “Erebuni,” “Yerevan,” “Armenia” hospitals, “Heratsi N1” university complex,” the statement reads.

Reporters also suffered injuries, who appeared amid the demonstrators and the policemen.

The investigative committee informs that that criminal case has been initiated based on Article 225 point 2 of the Criminal Code. In suspicion of direct involvement in the mass disturbances 28 people were detained as of 08:00 July 21. 16 out of the 28 detained have been arrested.

Currently the situation is calm in Khorenatsi Street.
