Another Game by Moscow and Another Degradation of Armenia

Today Mnatsakan Martirosyan, judge of the Court of General Jurisdiction of Kentron and Nork-Marash administrative districts, refused the Prosecutor’s demand on remanding Russia’s citizen Sergei Mironov, listed by the U.S. on the international wanted list for illegal sale of firearms.

Mironov is free now and states that he’ll enjoy Armenia’s weather as long as it’s pleasant. Maybe Mironov will be paid to thoroughly and at best enjoy the weather in Armenia. As those being used for state affairs are generally paid and much paid. However, the issue isn’t Mironov, but the Republic of Armenia which has been degraded again.

This citizen of Russia upon the request of U.S. respective bodies has been arrested by the Armenian law enforcement, as he was included in the wanted list. This practice, considered ordinary in relations between the states, couldn’t have been one in case of a state, the law enforcement of which even hadn’t the right to arrest Permyakov, who has killed a family of 7 of its own citizens and didn’t arrest until it was done by special Russian service.

And moreover, it couldn’t have been ordinary towards the citizen of the state, which turned the arrest and trial of Armenia’s citizen Hrachya Harutyunyan into a parade of humiliation of the country introduced by that man.

Mironov’s case isn’t an ordinary one. If it were, bewailing wouldn’t be recorded in Russian political and media field, already a few days, and common heading of that bewailing is as follows: “What a country is Armenia to arrest Russian citizen upon the request of the USA?”

Who were trying Armenia through Mironov—the USA, which intended to understand by that very request how Armenia’s promises given in beautiful speeches on legality and human rights correspond to the reality, or Russia, which surely had the possibility to influence on the political decision on arrest? However, it didn’t, so that Armenia’s law enforcement arrested and being degraded to that degree, released maybe an ordinary criminal from the very courtroom, who due to circumstances or informal working responsibilities became a subject for geopolitical test.
