USD 9 million for Implementation of the Agreement on Amendments to the Electoral Code is Totally Raised, and the Civil Society Approved it: Levon Zurabyan

“I have just received information, which may be included in the agenda referring to “RA Electoral Code”,” NA ANC Faction head Levon Zurabyan said at today’s NA session.

He noticed that on Saturday pre-signing of the agreement on control mechanisms of elections’ legality, participants of which were 5 parliamentary factions,

“After that we met the donors, and we may say that the necessary USD 9 million has been totally raised.”

He informed that a while ago he was informed that the civil society also approved that agreement.

L.Zurabyan proposed to initiate the ceremony of signing this agreement as soon as possible, after which they’ll immediately pass on to involvement of the issue into the Electoral Code.

“Of course, the issue may be accelerated, however, when legislative proposal comes to the NA, moreover, to the Government, I consider, it’s a law, which we should legalize,” NA Speaker Galust Sahakyan replied.
