CEO’s list of Russian billionaires ready

CEO journal has published a list of 131 billionaires from Russian. This is a historical record. The number of billionaires has grown by 11 since last year.

In 2012 there were 120 businessmen in Russia with more than one billion dollar wealth, and in 2011 – 114 billionaires. The smallest number of billionaires was recorded in 2009 – 49. In 2008 there were 101 billionaires in Russia, and in 2010 – 77.

In 2013 the amount of wealth of billionaires has grown as well. In 2012 they had 131 billion dollars, and in 2013 – 147 billion. In 2011 the cumulative wealth of Russian billionaires was 182 billion, and in 2008 – 221 billion.

According to CEO, the richest person in Russia is the owner of Metaloinvest company Alisher Usmanov, whose wealth is estimated at 18.72 billion dollars. Usmanov is in the first place according to the estimations of Bloomberg and Forbes as well.

The second richest person is Vladimir Lisin, the head of Novolipetsk metallurgy company board of directors, whose wealth is estimated at 17.2 billion dollars. Renova company director Viktor Vekselberg is in the third place with 15.94 billion dollars, whose wealth has grown by 66%.

Alpha Group head Mikhail Friedman is in the fourth place with 15.32 billion dollars, whose wealth has grown by 25%. The fifth richest Russian is Mikhail Prokhorov with 15.25 billion dollars.

Five Armenians have been included in the CEO’s list of the richest people in Russia. Co-owner of RosGosStrakh company Daniil Khachaturov is in 38th place with 2.89 billion dollars, who is followed by his brother in 39th place with again 2.89 billion dollars.

Tashir company owner Samvel Karapetyan is in 62nd place with 1.9 billion dollars. Reso company general deputy director Nikolay Sarkisov is in 92nd place with 1.33 billion dollars, and he is followed by his brother Sergey Sarkisov with 1.33 billion dollars.
