The Khachaturovs, Karapetyans and Sarkisovs are among the richest business families in Russia
CEO Journal has made a rating list of the richest business families in Russia. The list is based on the list of dollar billionaires in Russia published in February 18. The list is headed by the families of the Gutseriyevs, Rottenbergs and Khachaturovs. This year the Ananiyevs, who were leading the list in 2011, were not included in the first three positions this time. They are in the fourth place with 4.86 billion dollars. The wealth of the Gutseriyevs was estimated at $6.22 billion, that of the Rottenbergs $5.81 billion, and the Khachaturovs – $5.74 billion.
The private capital of the executive director of RosGosStrakh company Danil Khahaturov was estimated as $2.87 billion. The Karapetyans are in the sixth place with $2.94 billion. The personal capital of Samvel Karapetyan, the head of Tashir company and a member of this family, is $1.26 billion. The Sarkisovs are in the eighth place with $2.66 billion. Sergey Sarkisov, a member of this family and president of Reso and Reso-Garantia companies, has a capital estimated at $1.33 billion. Since 2010 the capital of the richest 50 people in Russia has increased by 66%, growing from 42.45 to 70.58 billion.
The capital of the 100 richest billionaires in the list of the CEO has grown by 16% in the reporting period. This means that the median business class of business people in Russia allocates resources more efficiently than the top richest class. Overall, the cumulative capital of the ten richest families in the list was estimated at 38.65 billion.
The rating list covers 134 people with median age of 49. On February 18 the CEO published a list of the Russian billionaires with 131 people, which is a record. There are five Armenians in this list. RosGosStrakh company owner Danil Khachaturov is in the 38th place with 2.89 billion. His brother is the next one in the list with 2.89 billion. Tashir company owner Samvel Karapetyan is in the 62nd place with 1.9 billion. Reso company deputy director Nikolay Sarkisov is in the 92nd place with 1.33 billion. His brother is the next one in the list with 1.33 billion.
