The decider will decide

The agreement reached in Geneva on Saturday on the nuclear program of Iran may create a completely new situation in our region and may directly relate to Armenia. Indeed, the November 24 agreement is only considered the first step for the resolution of the Iranian matter but it can even now be considered an unprecedented event between the international community and our neighboring country. It is no accident that after this agreement certain opinions and steps were taken to eliminate the sanctions against Iran. It is evident that in the event if the west normalizes its relations with Iran it will become possible for Armenia to have access to a number of opportunities. It will most importantly enable us to deepen our relations with Iran in the energy sector. All these prospects are indeed very important for Armenia. But having taken into account the recent events it become questionable as who’s going to manager the relations with Iran. The answer to this question is clear. The deepening of Armenia’s relations with Iran may essentially shorten and narrow the dependence of Armenia on Russia. And so the decision-maker is going to Russia, to which the right of Armenia’s decision-making was de facto allotted to on in the region the Armenia government always for the reception of Vladimir Putin. But h will not be visiting Armenia but a country, which is a member of the Customs Union.
