Serzh Sargsyan and Vladimir Putin had a Telephone Conversation: Agreement was Reached
Vladimir Putin, RF President had a phone conversations with the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan, Serzh Sargsyan and Ilham Aliyev on April 5. The phone conversation was initiated by the Russia’s president.
As press and public relations department of the President’s office informs, presidents of the two countries discussed recent developments on Nagorno Karabakh—Azerbaijan Line of Contact. Vladimir Putin urged the sides to immediately cease all kinds of military operations and return to the ceasefire regime. The importance of the resumption of talks with the mediation of the OSCE Minsk Group for the peaceful settlement of Karabakh conflict was highlighted.
President Putin expressed his deep concern over the military operations that claimed numerous lives. It was mentioned that Russia took and will continue to take necessary mediation steps aimed at the stabilization of the situation.
An agreement was reached to continue interactions on different formats.
