Artsakh Reflects to Statement by OSCE MG

Atrsakh reflected to the statement by OSCE MG, that time has come for the presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan to meet.

David Babayan, Spokesperson of NKR president, told “Armenpress” that there is no alternative for participation of Artsakh in negotiations.

“Considerable time is necessary for full recovery of the format, however, it has no alternative, particularly, after this four-day war. Azerbaijan was waging a war against us, and the whole world knows this. However, Azerbaijan doesn’t want to negotiate with us. Is this a logical approach? Of course, no. We realize, that there are difficulties, however, we’ll implement works for restoration of complete format of negotiations,” David Babayan said. In his words, if during the meeting decisions tended to peace establishment are made, the expected meeting will be justified. According to him, time will show.

“I consider, the international community should have full participation in the settlement of Azerbaijan-Karabakh conflict. I’m not speaking of changes of negotiations, but that of the approach. For instance, it’s impermissible, when European Games, UNO Forum, Formula 1 and other likewise events are held in Baku. This is simply immoral. Accordingly, the international community should be cautious,” he said.

According to him, it’s even impermissible, when representatives of democratic civilized countries make statements there, that maybe in classic feudalism such bootlicking hasn’t been recorded. “Azerbaijan-Karabakh conflict is a litmus paper directed to the international community, for elimination of its own defects. Democratic civilized society should first and foremost make use of this circumstance. If it doesn’t end, then in the world community—in the layer of values of civilized democratic states—the situation will be rather complicated,” he said.
