Moscow welcomes any step directed to Karabakh conflict de-escalation, as well as restart of Baku-Yerevan dialogue to find a compromise. Dmitri Peskov, press secretary of RF president, told about this, RIA Novosti reported.

Note, information is being circulated in the media outlets, that meeting of Armenian and Azerbaijani presidents will be launched in Vienna next week.

“I have nothing concrete to say in this regard. Undoubtedly, Moscow welcomes any step, purpose of which would be de-escalation of tension on the conflict zone and return to a dialogue, in search of variants for political settlement,” Peskov said, answering whether the Kremlin is aware of the possible meeting of the two presidents and whether it participated in organization of the meeting.
