Ambassador in Armenia Richard Mills considers positive the results of the meeting between the Presidents of Armenia and Azerbaijan in Vienna.
“I think that the news received from Vienna on Monday was very positive, it was an achievement that the two sides confirmed their commitment to the establishment and strengthening of the 1994 and 1995 ceasefire agreements,” Ambassador Mills said this during the briefing with journalists.
Ambassador says the fact that the sides are ready to work towards the installation of the investigative mechanisms in the Karabakh-Azerbaijani line of contact, shows their goodwill and readiness to that issue.
He stated that the Minsk Group Co-chairs are ready to be consistent and develop that commitment. Ambassador also referred to the Sargsyan-Aliyev possible meeting in June stating that they are optimistic over that meeting.
“The Co-chairs, the government of my country hope that the meeting will bring positive results and will contribute to what we all strive to achieve, that is the comprehensive settlement of the Nagorno Karabakh conflict,” US Ambassador highlighted.
