Government Approves Vietnam-EEU Free Trade Agreement Draft

The Government of Armenia has approved the draft of Vietnam-Eurasian Economic Union free trade agreement. According to the Economy Minister, immediately after the agreement comes into force, customs fees will be set to zero for some products, and for some it will be set until 2025.

In particular, sugar, vegetables and tobacco are the products which are not included in the free trade regime.

“We want to include in the agreement favorable conditions for the export of brandy and wines. These points were not included in the draft because it has been created before the membership of Armenia to the EEU”, the Minister said.

Prime Minister Abrahamyan said in the latest meeting with his Vietnamese counterpart this issue was discussed and an agreement has been reached.
