German MP Advocates Self-determination Right of NKR

Martin Dolzer, MP of the Hamburg Parliament said during a press conference in Yerevan human rights and self-determination principles should be present in the NKR conflict settlement, instead of unconstructive steps and regional interests.

Dolzer visited Nagorno Karabakh, met the President, Minister of Foreign Affairs, and listened to the position of NKR. According to him, he is impressed by everything he saw in Nagorno Karabakh and Armenia.

Speaking about the military operations of April, Dolzer regretfully noted that Germany’s ally: Erdogan’s Government, is pushing forward an unconstructive policy and is assisting Azerbaijan in many actions. “As a peaceful party, we are fighting for the peaceful solution of the conflict”, he said.

Asked whether their party might initiate the recognition of NKR, Dolzer said: “The self-determination right of peoples is inked in international laws, another issue is that there are issues of awareness, people don’t know, where it is, what it is. We have set a goal for us, to present our society with everything we saw. The 3 of us are here now, but our party is large, and we have work to do inside our party, in local organizations. We have to attract supporters, to spread the issue. This is a process which we wish to push forward”.
