Armenian Soldier Receives Fatal Wounds from Mine Explosion
The Defense Ministry of Nagorno Karabakh informs Defense Army soldier Gevorg A. Harutyunyan, born in 1996, received fatal wounds from mine explosion in the conservation area of a military unit located in the eastern direction of Defense Army.
The Ministry’s announcement reads: “Overnight August 2-3 the Azerbaijani side violated the ceasefire regime for 31 times by firing more than 350 shots from various caliber weapons at the Armenian positions in Nagorno Karabakh-Azerbaijan line of contact.
On August 2, at 15:00, Defense Army soldier Gevorg A. Harutyunyan, born in 1996, received fatal wounds from mine explosion in the conservation area of a military unit located in the eastern direction of Defense Army. Investigation is underway to clarify the details.
The NKR Defense Ministry shares the grief of the loss and extends condolences to the family members, relatives and fellow servicemen of the fallen soldier.”
