There is an intention to “kneel” Levon Hayrapetyan: he was moved to one of the worst penitentiaries
I’m here today to fight for my father’s freedom, and I walk with pride in this city, as I’m more than sure, that my father hasn’t committed any crime. It’s been more than two decades that my father proved with his devotedness and valuable work, that worlds of Armenia and Artsakh are one integrity,” Zaruhi Hayrapetyan, daughter of Armenian benefactor Levon Hayrapetyan, told reporters today.
She stated that her father leaved a big trace in Artsakhi world throughout these years. “Also, despite his hard emotional state, he always stood next to Artsakh and recently he was awarded by the president of Nagorno Karabakh for his financial assistance during the April four-day war,” Levon Hayrapetyan’s daughter said.
In her words they had the opportunity to talk with her father on the phone, who said that after he’s released he’ll return to Artsakh and continue his work. “Naturally, his health condition, can’t be good, however, he’s very strong, and I consider, he’ll overcome this trial as well,” Zaruhi Hayrapetyan said.
According to lawyer Haykaz Makaryan, it’s been two months, that Levon Hayrapetyan is in Mordovia’s penitentiary, which is one of the worst with its conditions.
In his words they have reasoned moving him to other penitentiary with his weal, as if there are special conditions, however, by this they intend to somewhat “kneel” Levon Hayrapetyan.
According to Haykaz Makaryan, health condition of Levon Hayrapetyan is assessed as considerably well, however, according to recent information, he was moved to the cell from hospital. According to Haykaz Makaryan, throughout the April war Levon Hayrapetyan transferred considerable finances to Artsakh to cover different expenses.
He asked and called on Armenian president Serzh Sargsyan, PM Karen Karapetyan, National Assembly, so that the issue of L.Hayrapetyan was included in the NA agenda. He considers the authorities should call on Russian State Duma, asking to immediately solve the issue of his extradition.
