Vache Gabrielyan presents advantages of doing business in Armenia at New York forum
Vice Prime Minster of Armenia, Minister of Economic Integration and Reforms Vache Gabrielyan delivered a speech at “Armenia” investment forum in New York, press service of the Government informed.
Vice PM presented the advantages and opportunities of doing business in Armenia. Vache Gabrielyan said Armenia is distinguished by the degree of business environment liberalization and is ranked 35th in ease of doing business, and 5th in establishing business among 189 countries in the World Bank index.
The Armenian Vice PM presented Armenia’s geographical position and its features, the governance system, as well as provided information on entry permits, available transportation, communication and energy infrastructures. Gabrielyan underlined a number of reasons on making investments and doing business in Armenia.
He emphasized the benefits and opportunities which became possible due to Armenia’s membership to the Eurasian Economic Union, the presence of the EU’s GSP+ and GSP trade regime with US, cooperation with Georgia and Iran.
Vache Gabrielyan said reforms are carried out in tax and customs fields on making the business environment more effective in Armenia. And the new Tax Code adopted by the Parliament defines privileges for investors and businessmen.
