Economy must develop at the expense of export: Suren Karayan

“The growth rates in terms of export, that were registered in 2016, will be at least maintained, and we will further exceed those rates. In terms of investments we will also have growth rates. We have carried out considerable works in the last quarter of 2016, we have prepared the field and expect that both the economic growth, all rates of economic activity, including industry and export will record a serious growth in 2017,” Suren Karayan, RA Minister of Economic Development and Investments said.

In response to the question when the Prime Minister took his post, he said the economy is in very critical condition, what has changed during the last months, the Minister said, “We have revised economy’s development model. Taking into account the features of small economy, we put an emphasis that the economy must develop at the expense of export proposal.”
