Murder in Alaverdi; suspect arrested
A criminal case was initiated in Tumanyan Investigative Division of Lori Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on murder of Kamo Piruzyan, born in 1978. The suspect was arrested.
On June 13, 2017 at about 12:10 near the shop located at 20 Tumanyan, Alaverdi town shots were fired from a firearm towards Kamo Piruzyan who died at the site of the bodily injuries he had sustained.
A criminal case was initiated on willful deprivation of Kamo Piruzyan’s life and illegal procurement, keeping and carrying of firearm according to the Part 1 of the Article 104 and the Part 1 of the Article 235 of RA Criminal Code.
Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to find all circumstances of the case, the motive of murder.
A 26 year-old resident of Alaverdi was arrested on suspicion of committing the crime.
“Makarov” pistol, 4 capsules and 1 bullet were found through inspection of the site.
