“Cooperation for prosperity should be aimed at the peaceful resolution of conflicts ”- Armen Sarkissian

Armenian President Armen Sarkissian took part in a round table discussion titled “Cooperation For Prosperity: Strategic Planning of The Next Centennial” in Tbilisi.

The event was organized on the sidelines of the celebration of the Georgian centennial interdependence day and attended by many heads of state.

The Armenian president delivered remarks at the event, saying: “Cooperation for prosperity should be aimed at the peaceful resolution of conflicts and full partnership should become the moving force and vision of South Caucasian countries”.

The President said that the next centennial must become a period of leaving problems in the past and eliminating dividing lines in a mutually beneficial way for South Caucasus.

He said that the current realities and the dynamics of developments in South Caucasian countries allow to hope that the democratization processes will contribute to the integration of the region and establishment of sustainable peace and economic growth.

The president said he is sure that through united efforts it is possible to overcome not only economic, but political and geopolitical disagreements which obstruct cooperation, and also to establish relations of tolerance, mutual benefit and camaraderie in all sectors.
