Incident in Shengavit; father and three sons arrested
A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on stabbing five persons.
On October 1, 2018 at 23:00 calls were received from «Saint Mary» medical center informing that two young men – one of them with pierced wound on the left seat, the other with numerous pierced wounds were taken to them.
On the same day at 23:45 calls were received again from the same medical center informing that two more young men were taken to them. One of them was diagnosed “pierced wounds on the left part of the chest”, the other had numerous pierced wounds.
Next day – on October 2, 2018 a call was received again from “Saint Mary” medical center informing that one more young man with diagnosis of “pierced wound” was taken to medical center.
On October 2, 2018 a criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 4 of the Article 258, the Point 6 of the Part 2 of the Article 112 and the Points 1 and 3 of the Part 2 of the Article 113 of RA Criminal Code.
During preliminary investigation urgent investigatory and other procedural actions were conducted. As a result, a number of circumstances, the motive and the scene were found out, those involved in the incident were identified.
It was found out that the mentioned persons had sustained the bodily injuries during the same quarrel that took place in Timiryazev Street of Yerevan.
Through investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that the persons having committed the alleged crime are members of the same family – father and his three sons. They were arrested.
During preliminary investigation five young men who had been taken to medical center were found the injured party. However, pursuant to doctor’s certificate, they were not able to give testimony.
Forensic medical, forensic biological examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case. Cars were inspected as prescribed by law, inspection of the scene was conducted during which blood samples were taken. Investigatory experimentation was conducted, the knife which was the crime tool was confiscated. About two dozens of witnesses were questioned. Instructions were given to inquest bodies.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
