Juvenile’s stabbing disclosed

In the framework of the criminal case investigated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee juvenile’s stabbing was disclosed.

On November 19, 2018 a call was received from Shengavit medical center informing that a stabbed juvenile was taken to them.

During preparation of materials the stabbed person who had been taken to hospital with a diagnosis of «cut-pierced penetrating wound on the lateral part of the abdomen» was identified.

A criminal case was initiated in the Investigative Division of Shengavit administrative district of Yerevan Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code. The juvenile was found the injured party.

In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions a number of circumstances of the case were found out. Inspection of the scene was conducted, a number of people were questioned.

It was found out that the juvenile had sustained the bodily injury during the argument that took place behind the garage located in the yard of one of the houses on Bagratunyats Street, Yerevan.

Data were obtained on the motive, those involved in the incident, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of Yerevan, born in 2000.

The latter was apprehended on suspicion of committing the alleged crime and gave testimony. He pointed out the knife which was the crime tool.

Signature not to leave was chosen as a pretrial measure against 18 year-old young man.

Forensic medical and forensic biological examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing. Necessary measures are taken to provide the comprehensive investigation of all circumstances of the case.

Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
