TV and Radio Commission elects new chairman

The Television and Radio Commission of Armenia has elected a new chairman.

On January 29, the commission convened a session which initially accepted the resignation of the already former chairman Gagik Buniatyan and then unanimously elected commission member Tigran Hakobyan to serve as the next chairman.

Hakobyan has been a member of the commission since 2016.

He was a journalist and editor in the late 1980s and early 1990s. He served as Director of ARMENPRESS from 1998-1999.

Hakobyan also served as Head of the TV and Radio Programs Department of the Government from 1995-1998.

He was Member of the Board of Directors of the Armenian Development Bank from 2006-2008.
