Armenia’s government observes aviation sector to revise air ticket price policy

The Armenian government is seriously observing the aviation sector to revise the air ticket price policy, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said in the Parliament, in response to My Faction faction MP Gevorg Papoyan’s question.

“We had a very good meeting with Martin Eurnekian, who currently chairs the company that governs Yerevan’s Zvartnots and Gyumri’s airports, in Davos over the air ticket prices. We had a very direct talk, and he stated here the issue is in the prices and supply of aviation fuel. Currently we are examining very seriously what we can do in that field, because maybe this situation is due to monopoly mechanisms, but the fact that this is a serious issue is definite”, the PM said.

Pashinyan said the decline of air ticket price will certainly contribute to the development of tourism.
