Canada suspends news arms sales to Turkey amid Syrian military operation

The Canadian authorities made a decision to temporarily suspend the supply of weapons to Turkey due to Ankara’s ongoing military operations in Syria, the Canadian foreign ministry said in a statement.

According to the Canadian foreign ministry, the Turkish operations in Syria violate the regional stability. Therefore, the country decided to temporarily suspend new export permits to Turkey, particularly of military equipment.
