Armenia’s Tatev Hakobyan is champion of weightlifting at international olympic competition
It is with great pleasure and pride that we announce the victory of Tatev Hakobyan in weightlifting at Qatar 6th International CUP 2019.
This international Olympic competition was held in Doha, and it is a qualification event for the Tokyo Olympics 2020.
This year’s championship, hosted by the Qatar Weightlifting Federation (QWF) under the auspices of the International Weightlifting Federation, hosted over 150 lifters representing 44 countries.
Women competed under seven weight classes, while men competed in eight categories.
On December 23, 2019, in 87kg category Tatev Hakobyan won the first place.
We congratulate Tatev on her victory, and wish her continuous success and more opportunities to give Armenians a feeling of pride by raising the Armenian flag high.
