EDS stands with our Member Organisation YRPA Armenia and strongly condemns the nowadays aggressive facts. What took place on the 27th of September where the Azerbaijani side launched active missile attacks along the entire line of contact targeting military positions as well as the peaceful settlements, the peaceful civilian population of Artsakh (Nagorno Karabakh) including the capital Stepanakert, is unacceptable and turns the area many decades back, where cold war existed.

The aggression was massively supported by Turkey which has its military presence and which has been showing its unilateral support to Azerbaijan and continues his offensive rhetoric of invading after the EU continent also to EU partners.

We call on the international community to contribute and to prevent any attempts of the ceasefire violation, which will destabilize the situation in the region. As well as to express its readiness to assist efforts for immediate de-escalation in the area.
