OSCE Minsk Group Co-Chairs ‘may visit Armenian-Azerbaijani border soon’
he Co-Chairs of the OSCE Minsk Group (Igor Popov of the Russian Federation, Stephane Visconti of France, and Andrew Schofer of the United States of America) may agree on plans to visit the Armenian-Azerbaijani border, TASS.ru reports, citing Russia’s permanent representative to the Organization.
“It is very important for the Co-Chairs to manage, nonetheless, to visit the region in the near future to conduct an on-site evaluation of the situation and talk to the parties on the ground. It is very important. I think there will be such opportunities in the near future,” Alexander Lukashevich said.
Meantime, he agreed that international humanitarian organizations’ access stands very acute in terms of providing aid to the population. “There are numerous organizational issues here, which the sides present differently,” he added.
