Tony Iommi pays heartfelt tribute to Ozzy Osbourne after his death
Legendary guitarist Tony Iommi has shared an emotional tribute following the passing of his longtime friend and Black Sabbath bandmate Ozzy Osbourne.
“I just can’t believe it! My dear dear friend Ozzy has passed away only weeks after our show at Villa Park,” Iommi wrote. “It’s just such heartbreaking news that I can’t really find the words. There won’t ever be another like him. Geezer, Bill and myself have lost our brother.”
Iommi’s statement reflects the deep bond the original Black Sabbath members shared over decades of musical collaboration and personal friendship. Ozzy’s recent appearance with the band at Villa Park had been a powerful and emotional moment for fans, now made even more poignant by the news of his death.
“My thoughts go out to Sharon and all the Osbourne family. Rest in peace Oz,” Iommi added.
Osbourne, known as the Prince of Darkness, was one of the most iconic frontmen in rock history, shaping the sound and image of heavy metal for generations. His influence, charisma, and unforgettable voice leave behind a legacy that will never be matched.
