Minor stabbed in Kajaran; suspect is also minor

A criminal case was initiated in Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee on stabbing minor in the town of Kajaran, one person was involved as a suspect.

On May 16, 2018 a call was received informing that on the same day at about 15:20 a minor resident of Kajaran, born in 2002, with cut-pierced injuries was taken to “Kajaran Medical Center” CJSC.

On the same day a criminal case was initiated in Syunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee according to the Part 1 of the Article 112 of RA Criminal Code, the minor was found the injured party.

In the result of urgent investigatory and operative-searching measures a number of circumstances significant for the criminal case were found, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified.

Particularly, through preliminary investigation actual data were obtained on the allegation that the minor had been inflicted the heavy bodily injuries through a knife on the same day during the incident over personal matters in one of the streets of Kajaran town by another minor resident of the same town (born in 2001).

The teenager, born in 2001, was involved as a suspect, questioned over the circumstances of the case. Handing him to parent’s control was chosen as a pretrial measure against him.

Preliminary investigation is ongoing, measures are taken to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of circumstances of the case.
