Murder attempt in Gegharkunik; charge pressed against one person
Within the criminal case investigated in Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department of the RA Investigative Committee charge was pressed against the resident of Gegharkunik province for murder attempt.
On November 15, 2018 at 05:30 the resident of Martuni town, born in 1983, with a diagnosis of “penetrating wound on the abdomen, cut-pierced bleeding wound on left ventricular epithelial region, cut bleeding wound on the one third of the left wrist” was taken to medical center of the same town.
On November 15, 2018 a criminal case was initiated in Gegharkunik Regional Investigative Department according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code. The man, born in 1983, was found the injured party.
In the result of investigatory and other procedural actions of great volume a number of circumstances, the scene were found out, the person having committed the alleged crime was identified; he is a resident of the same province, born in 1975.
In the result of operative-intelligence measures the latter was found and questioned. An investigatory experimentation was conducted in his presence.
During preliminary investigation searches were conducted, as prescribed by law, in the residence and car of the person having committed the alleged crime. As a result, knives and greenish mass in glass containers, a plastic bottle with greenish mass covered with polyethylene bag, a paper box with greenish mass in it, plant stems in a cloth bag and crushed greenish mass were found and confiscated. Glass lubricants with grayish mass in them were also found.
On the base of the obtained evidence charge was pressed against 43 year-old man according to the Part 1 of the Article 34-104 of RA Criminal Code.
Forensic medical, forensic chemical, forensic biological and forensic genetic examinations were commissioned to find out circumstances significant for the criminal case.
The investigator submitted a motion to court to use detention as a pretrial measure against the man, born in 1975. The motion was sufficed.
Preliminary investigation is ongoing.
Necessary investigatory and other procedural actions are conducted to provide the comprehensive, complete and objective investigation of all circumstances of the case.
Note; Everyone charged with alleged crime offence shall be presumed innocent until proved guilty according to law.
