Artsakh’s brand new Conservative Party to run for parliament in 2020
President of Artsakh Bako Sahakyan’s spokesperson Davit Babayan has announced he is establishing a new political party in the country.
“The domestic political life of our country has entered a new dynamic phase of development,” he said on Facebook. “Naturally, this all relates to each and every one of us. Every patriotic and conscious person must participate in the public-political life of our country, by this bringing their contribution to the development, strengthening and protection of our state. Having served in various governmental structures for more than two decades, serving in responsible positions and by actively being involved in the public-political and academic-educational life, I too cannot remain indifferent to this all. After long deliberations, as well as after being encouraged by numerous friends and supporters, I have decided to create a new political party with them – the Conservative Party of Artsakh”, he said.
Babayan said his new party will run for parliament in Artsakh’s 2020 election.
He said that “preservation of victories and success gained through great sacrifices, national values and efficient and professional withstanding of new challenges in a new situation” are among the fundamentals of the party’s ideology.
“Artsakh’s sovereignty, high level of security, social justice and democracy, protection of the environment are exclusively values for us. Professionalism, honesty, patriotism, and diligence are among our mottos”.
In 2020, Artsakh will also hold a presidential election.
