“Scandalous Provocation is the Purpose of Azerbaijan and its Army”
“This provocation, surely, doesn’t pursue the purpose of occupying territories and infiltrating into the depths of the country. Physically it’s impossible. Purpose of Azerbaijan and its army is scandalous provocation. I consider, Azerbaijan initiated it with the participation of the Turkish elite, it’s known that Baku’s regime is a puppet for the Turks. The second purpose is diverting Azerbaijan’s population from issues, which are piling due to drop in price for oil, social problems, it’s separation of the very rich and the poor, and protest increase,” Denis Dvornikov, member of Russian Association of International Law, PhD in Legal Sciences, told 168.am, commenting on unleashed unprecedented military actions on Nagorno Karabakh—Azerbaijan contact line.
According to him, at the same time, it’s worth realizing that all military activities initiated by Azerbaijan, which are developing on the line of such extreme regimes, like the Islamic State,
“I’m convinced that people with black masks applaud Aliyev now, as he’s taking desperate risky steps, to clean the South Caucasus from Christian, Western culture. Here, whether consciously or unconscious, he acts out of interests of ISIS or likewise organizations.
This is rather serious and international community should, first and foremost, observe the issue from this standpoint, and this is beneficiary for terrorists, it’s a flow of weaponry, it’s a flow of extremists and radicalization of the region. Here the risks are the most serious, risks are existent not only for Armenia, Iran and neighboring states, but also for Georgia and Black Sea countries and Europe, as this region is s crucial junction. I think, presently all people of good will, and those having a voice in Armenia and abroad, would pay attention to it.”
To the observation that international structures and experts dispose balanced position on the occurrences, D.Dvornikov replied, “They underestimate risks, their view is veiled and, as I mentioned, they strive to be balanced, however, this balance is figurative, but it’s not the case to take such a position. And by their balanced position, they radicalize the situation and increase risks not only for the region, but for Europe and the West as well. I consider, methods and rhetoric should be seriously reassessed.”
