His Holiness Karekin II urges international community to suspend Azerbaijani unstoppable harassments

His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians issued a statement related to the military actions unleashed by the Azerbaijani Armed Forces along the entire contact line of Nagorno karabakh and Azerbaijan, 168.am was informed from the press service of Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin.

The statement reads”

“We strongly condemn the attacks carried out by Azerbaijan along the border of Karabakh, directed also against settlements and civilians.

We express our prayers and support to the authorities and people of Nagorno Karabakh, the valiant commanders and soldiers of the Armenian Defense Army. We urge to resist with irreducible courage and unshakable faith the hostile attacks against the homeland’s independence and security of our people.

Azerbaijani ongoing provocations and military actions subvert the stability of the region and undermine the efforts, taken to resolve the conflict.

We call upon the international community, particularly the countries involved in the conflict resolution process to stop the ongoing harassments of Azerbaijan against Nagorno Karabakh.

We pray that the Lord will give comfort to the victims’ souls in heaven’s luminous floors, consolation to relatives and a speedy recovery to the wounded.

Let God be the guardian and protector of Armenian Army, which is protector of peace.
