EEU is not the Reason for Bad Indicators
91.4% of state budget incomes for 2015 in Armenia has been provided on account of tax incomes and state dues, which comprised AMD 1067.9 billion and provided the annual program clarified within RA Government liabilities by 93.6%. AMD 1035.5 billion from the abovementioned sum comprised tax incomes, and AMD 32.4 billion—state dues.
These indicators were introduced by Armen Alaverdyan, Deputy Chairman of RA State Revenue Committee (SRC), during the discussions on the performance of the 2015 state budget.
For instance, if wheat, tires were imported from third countries and we were recording 32% income, they started to import from EEU and payments decreased. According to Alaverdyan, legislation also had its impact, although an attempt was made to get back some part through administration, for instance, turnover tax threshold was risen to AMD 115 million, due to which AMD 3.8 million loss was recorded.
“Membership to Eurasian Economic Union (EEU), in fact, didn’t bring anything, but loss,” MP Khachatur Kokobelyan said. Vardan Ayvazyan, Chair of NA Standing Committee on Economic Affairs, stated that EEU is not the reason for bad indicators, but membership to EEU provides Armenia serious possibilities, “This doesn’t mean that countries, which have signed the Association Agreement, for instance, Moldova, live very well,” he said.
