Soso Pavliashvili on boycotting his concert in Baku due to Karabakh

52 year-old singer Soso Pavliashvili commented on remarks by Azerbaijani people’s artist Ramiz Fataliyev, who called on the artist to withdraw from the charity concert, to be held in Baku.

Life reports that famous Georgian singer was enrolled in a scandal. Azerbaijani media outlets issued the letter of 70 year-old Fataliyev, who stated that Pavliashvili was one of the first singers to visit Armenia during NK conflict, and he doesn’t have the right to perform in Baku.

Soso Pavliashvili replied rather calmly, saying his concert doesn’t bear a political nature, and no conflict can spoil his relations with the Armenian people.

“Don’t bother for me. It’s idler’s job to say what they want. I’m not going to ask that playwright whether to go to Baku or not, I don’t even know who he is. Now he’s becoming famous, I congratulate him. Let him come to my concert. I’m inviting him. I’m a man of peace. I have always made friends not for the nationality or belief, but for the actions.

God didn’t tell me, here is the talent, sing for these and don’t for those. And if those idlers intend to return Karabakh, let them make sabotage groups and return it.

Every person has the right to express his/her opinion. Let them speak. I have never instigated conflict. If anyone has lit the fire, I only want to put it up. I have always made friends with Armenians not asking about it to anyone,” the singer said.
