No More VAT Charging for Vehicles Imported from EEU Member Countries

Today, RA Parliament adopted a draft bill, pursuant which it’s proposed to make amendments to the Law on “Value Added Tax.” It’s offered not to charge VAT for vehicles imported by physical persons from EEU member countries.

The draft bill was introduced by Vache Gabrielyan, RA Deputy Prime Minister and RA Minister of International Economic Integration and Reforms, asking to recognize the draft bill as urgent, as well as to allocate two days for its final development. Hovik Abrahamyan, RA Prime Minister, said, “A citizen may import one vehicle for his/her disposal in the period of one year and won’t be charged. Under the law it should enter into force since 1 January 2017. Now we’ve shortened that term.”
