Vardan Petrosyan Signs Reconciliation Agreement with Family of Car Crash Victims

Actor Vardan Petrosyan signed a reconciliation agreement with the Hakobyan family affected in the car accident on March 3. Vardan Petrosyan’s lawyer Nikolay Baghdasaryan informed in a conversation with “Armenpress”.

“The agreement is as follows: The Hakobyan family dismisses all claims, and Vardan Petrosyan pays 2 million AMD compensation costs. This is a document agreement. As to the reconciliation of the parties, I will remind you that Vardan Petrosyan extended a hand of reconciliation from the beginning and has always been in support of reconciliation. It is an important step, “Nikolay Baghdasaryan said. He said that the court has yet to ratify this agreement. The decision will be announced on March 15. On October 20, 2013, two cars collided at the 32nd kilometer of the Yeghvard-Yerevan highway. As a result of the collision, 7 people were hospitalized with bodily injuries, including Vardan Petrosyan. Later on 16 year old Edgar Hakobyan and Eduard Hakobyan died. They were cousins. Vardan Petrosyan was sentenced to 5 years imprisonment, 3 of which will be served in open-mode.
