The point is, not being an oil exporting country, Armenia is the one dependent from oil. We are deeply dependent form Russia’s economy through money transfers by working migrants. Truly enough, due to decrease in money transfers, the ratio of transfers/GDP has slightly gone down—15%, however, it’s a bothering indicator as well. Regarding dependency from transfers, among CIS member countries, Armenia, perhaps, is back from Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan.
ECHR decided, that the Government of the Republic of Armenia should pay EUR 50 thousand compensation to the applicants. Zaruhi Postanjyan, “Heritage” Faction MP, who formerly was the advocate of the three young men, considers decision by the ECHR precedential and considers it may have some preventive character. At yesterday’s NA briefings Z.Postanjyan stated that the Republic of Armenia, unfortunately, is not a democratic country, jurisdiction doesn’t fully function, as a result of which lots of Armenia’s citizens are unfairly in prison, and real criminals and murderers are in freedom.
As a human, I’m against it, it’s a shameful policy, if it were defensive armament, that’s another point, but it’s attacking one. If they don’t purchase it from Russia, they may obtain it from other countries, however, Russian armament is contemporary, powerful, productive, thus, they purchase from Russia tanks, jets, all of them are attacking. Russia arms Armenia’s opponent with attacking armament, and this policy instigates Russia to aggression, we think so, maybe it’s not so, I don’t know.
“My opinion is the following—Assad is standing on a strong grounding, so strong that it can solve issues of the Islamic State through the other contingent in Syria, thus, under this condition, it’s senseless to continue Russia’s actions in Syria, that brings forward a range of issues. Although I don’t think Russia’s this step will weaken West-Russia tension,” Rahr said. The latter isn’t sure that the decision will boost Syrian political settlement, assured by Russian experts.
