
Toward a multipolar world. Armenia’s allies are Russia and Iran: beware of Ukraine’s fate: Glenn Diesen
Today as part of the “Dipomat” program Dr. Arthur Khachikyan, Doctor of Political Science, Stanford University, spoke with Dr. Glenn Diesen, Professor at the University of Southeast Norway (USN) and an associate editor at the Journal “Russia in Global Affairs”.
Professor Diesen and Dr. Khachikyan talked about the formation of a new multipolar world order, the priorities and challenges of the states in the Middle East, the possible end to the war in Ukraine, the negotiations between US President Donald Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin, the events in the South Caucasus, Armenia’s foreign policy vectors, the empty promises of the West and Armenia’s natural allies – Iran and Russia. Professor Diesen urged Armenia to cooperate with its natural allies, Iran and Russia, and not follow Ukraine’s path

Dr. GLENN DIESEN
Dr Glenn Diesen is a professor at the University of Southeast Norway (USN) and an associate editor at the Russia in Global Affairs journal. Diesen is a board member at the International Institute for Peace (IPP) in Vienna, the Centre for Nationalism Studies (CNS) in Sarajevo, and Contemporary World Economy in Moscow. Diesen has published 11 books on the topic of Russian foreign policy, geoeconomics, and Eurasian integration, including “Russophobia: Propaganda in International Politics” (2023) and “Great Power Politics in the Fourth Industrial Revolution: The Geoeconomics of Technological Sovereignty” (2022).
