Armenians, look carefully at what they are doing to the Kurds: You are next: Colonel Macgregor

Doctor Arthur Khachikian, Stanford PhD in Political Science, and Journalist Razmik Martirosyan had an interview with Colonel Douglas Macgregor, a retired U.S. Army Colonel, CEO of Our Country Our Choice, former Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Defense during President Trump’s first term, and Christine Arakelian, a Senior Economic and Business Management Consultant and Fellow at the Armenian Society of Fellows.

During the interview, they discussed the situation in Syria, risks for the South Caucasus, particularly for Armenia, war in Ukraine, etc.

Colonel Macgregor mentioned that Turkey’s President Erdogan is far more aggressive and hostile to everyone who is not a member of the Muslim Brotherhood than people realize.

He warned Armenians to look carefully at what they are doing to the Kurds. „You are next: They have unleashed several tigers in the neighborhood: they are going to eat whatever is in front of them,” he mentioned.

“Turks are Turks, they are not Europeans: the old interest, the old strategic imperatives are still there,” he said.
