Vartan Oskanian Declines Robert Kocharyan’s Links with His Party
MP Vartan Oskanian does not rule out that his colleague MPs will join the party he intends to create. Vartan Oskanian told about this at the National Assembly in an interview with journalists, but he mentioned no names. “I do not wish to mention names who may join that party for now, but I do not rule out that my colleague MPs may join. Even the name of the party is not known yet, but I promise you will soon learn about it”, Oskanian saying.
Vartan Oskanian declined the rumors that the second President of Armenia Robert Kocharyan has direct links with the party to be created. “Kocharyan has absolutely no links with this party. To the remark that he was in office during Kocharyan’s presidency and people still remember the situation of Armenia during that period, what will be his resources to bring people’s vote for him, Oskanian answered, “Vartan Oskanian’s resource, party program, our activities and our vision for the future of the country”. Yesterday I clearly mentioned that Kocharyan has no links with this party, but I reiterate once more, I am not going to split me from kocharyan every time, I have no such a goal”.
He added that, of course, Kocharyan’s government had many drawbacks in different spheres, but that government also recorded great achievements. “I think it was the era the people recalls with positive connotations”, the MP mentioned.
Vartan Oskanian assured that he will be ready to cooperate with all political forces, including “Prosperous Armenia” party and ANC.
