Final Accord doesn’t Obstacle Anything: Levon Yolyan on Gas Price Negotiations

Negotiations on gas price currently are in process. Levon Yolyan, RA Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, told about this reports today.

“Final agreement doesn’t obstacle anything. Negotiations are being held in sound working atmosphere. When someone sells something, the other person purchases, one of them is interested to maximally reduce the price, and the other—to introduce his/her interests. This is an issue of interest clash, which is under discussion,” the Minister said.

To the question, until when current price for gas—USD 165 is provided; it’s planned until April 1—the Minister replied, saying they hope after that, price will go down. Touching upon to the question whether, finally, Iranian gas will flow to Georgia through the territory of Armenia, or no, Levon Yolyan replied,

“Armenia-Georgia-Russia-Iran meeting has been launched in December 2015. A meeting of the four ministers is anticipated in Georgia in the period of April 11-13, which will finally clarify it. Again rather active operations are on in more active engagement of Armenia’s territory, energy in all regional issues,” the Minister said.
