Political Party is not a Prosecution to Uncover Criminal Cases: Armen Badalyan on Political Party to-be Founded by Oskanian
“In fact, we can’t say who stands behind that political party,” Armen Badalyan, political and electoral technologies’ expert, analyst, told 168.am, commenting on the political party to be initiated by Vartan Oskanian, the then Minister of Foreign Affairs, “Prosperous Armenia” Party faction MP.
In his words, if it’s observed who stands behinds that political party, it means, just from the very start that party wasn’t correctly initiated, and it’s pursuing a wrong policy.
“We should wait to see which direction the party will take and which steps it’ll initiate, as not established yet, it already has two functions: strong and weak. The weak factor is that party will be headed by Vartan Oskanian, who doesn’t possess peculiarities of a charismatic leader, however, it’s a weak factor as well. Depending on the activity of that party, we’ll see which one of them will dominate, as both simultaneously are available,” he said.
He clarified that V.Oskanian’s not being a charismatic leader is a weak factor, as it helps to easily get supporters, and is a strong factor, as when the leader doesn’t have charismatic features, party’s ideology is being emphasized, “It’s difficult to establish, but is more stabile, than the leader party, as we all edified what happened to PAP.”
Note, Vartan Oskanian stated the agenda of the political party, to be founded by him, will engage uncovering of March 1 case.
According to A.Badalyan, it’s clear that any power, initiated in Armenia, should announce that its purpose is revealing March 1, and etc. However, in fact, according to him, a political party is established not for uncovering this or that criminal case, but for changing country’s situation, showing by their actions that they move to the positive, bright future, “A political party is not a prosecution to uncover criminal cases.”
A.Badalyan qualified V.Oskanian’s step as an “ordinary” step, that is implemented in all the countries over the world, to attract supporters, “To say, by coming to power, they will settle that issue.”
