Russia to Compensate Azerbaijani Losses during the April War
Yesterday Sergei Lavrov, RF Foreign Minister, paid a working visit to Azerbaijan. “During the meetings planned in Baku exchange of thoughts around the settlement of Nagorno-Karabakh issue will occur as well, to develop agreements during the meetings in Vienna and St. Petersburg. Azerbaijan is our important strategic partner in Transcaucasia and Caspian region. We construct our relations with Baku based on equality, good neighborly relations and respect of mutual interests,” the statement released by Russian Foreign Ministry reads.
RF Foreign Ministry informed that Russia and Azerbaijan are getting prepared for 5th International Humanitarian Forum to be held on September 29 in Baku under the patronage of the presidents of Russia and Azerbaijan. Meanwhile Russia was squandering odes on strategic partnerships on the level of Foreign Ministry, in other country Vladimir Dorokhin, Russian Ambassador to that country, stated that Russia continues military cooperation with Azerbaijan, signed in accordance with reached agreements and signed accords.
Dorokhin stressed, that new accords on armaments supply will be signed between Russia and Azerbaijan, not excluding that it may occur within the Vladimir Putin’s visit to Baku in September. If Foreign Ministry of any other country released a statement by that agenda on visiting Baku, and the ambassador of that any other country stated that its head is going to sign agreements on armaments supply in Azerbaijan, that country would be declared as a betrayer in Armenia, maybe protest would be organized before the embassies of those countries and calls might be heard on boycotting the production of that country.
In short, “standard” patriotic campaign would be launched in Armenia, in accordance with respective rules of the genre (according to Eduard Sharmazanov’s statements, burning of flags, reading of texts written in appropriate place, directed to RPA members, who aren’t able to express their own views and etc.). However, when it refers to Russia, Armenian national-liberation “mind” is silent. It’s not only silent, when Russia persistently repeats the phenomenon of Armenia-Russia strategic alliance by inertia, which became ridiculous.
In case, when Russia persistently, without any formalities, with each step equals Armenia-Russia alliance to the ground, like Putin stated at recent meeting with Serzh Sargsyan, reaching it to the level of export of fruits and vegetables. Russia continues levelling to the ground Armenia-Russia relations, as Armenian political “mind” not only is silent, but sends people like Geghamyan to miscellaneous conferences to vote against pro-Armenian resolution, which contains criticism directed to Russia, and showing it as a brilliant example of patriotism.
Russia does what comes from its state interest, being sure, that in Armenia there are people among the authorities, for most of whose state interest is identified with Russian interest, even in case, when it completely contradicts Armenia’s interests. They perfectly know in Russia, that these days Armenian political “mind” not simply is silent, but prepares speeches to justify another deal on armaments supply to Baku by Putin. And there is no any information on the armaments to be supplied to Armenia by USD 200 million.
“It’s in process,” Armenian officials say, naturally, not going deep into the “details,” that prior to that “end of the process” Azerbaijan will obtain much more Russian armaments.
They don’t go deep into the details, until Russia will manage to compensate Azerbaijan’s armaments loss throughout the April war. They don’ go deep into the details, as maybe they’re assigned not to do that.
