National Security Service Uncovers Criminal Group of ANPP Former Management and AMD 784 mln Embezzlement

The National Security Service of Armenia has completed preliminary investigation on the criminal case regarding abuses in procurement processes in the “Armenian Nuclear Power Plant” CJSC.

The investigation showed General Director of the “Armenian Nulcear Power Plant” CJSC G. Markosyan, Commercial Director R. Movsesyan, Deputy Director of Finance and Economy M. Movsisyan and Head of the Renovation, Preparations and Regulatory Department, Head of the Procurement Department E. Ghazaryan, have formed an organized criminal group and abused their official positions and are involved in large-scale embezzlement, causing substantial damage to the state.

The National Security Service has solved the crime and the entire damage – 783 million 586 thousand AMD has been recovered. The criminal case has been sent to the Court.

Note – Suspect is considered innocent until proven guilty by the Court of Law.
