Exit of the Developments in Turkey to be Negative for the Country’s Neighborhood as well: Cengiz Aktar

“Turkey’s internal life has entered a different-quality phase,” Cengiz Aktar, well-known publicist, Associate Professor at Süleyman Şah University, told 168.am reflecting to the attempted coup overnight. He stated that the night will leave a rather negative track in Turkey’s internal life. Aktar said that an attempted coup was recorded by planned military figures or intellectuals of the regime.

“The exit will be negative for the opposition, democracy and the neighborhood. The occurrence will have positive implications for the regime, which will have the possibility to spread a wide haunting in the country against dissidents and dissidence, symptoms of which are already available today,” Aktar said. The latter refused to provide detailed comments on other issues, insisting that the situation is yet instable, and it’s early to draw final conclusions.
