Alek Yenigomshyan Receives a Phone Call from the Authorities
Alek Yenigomshyan, member of Founding Parliament and ASALA, who is widely engaged in negotiations between the members of “Sasna Tsrer” armed group, Jirair Sefilian , who is in Vardashen penitentiary now, and authorities of the National Security of Armenia (NSS), expressed his concern over disconnection of telephone numbers of the group members and on possible disruption of negotiations.
“Since Monday and yesterday negotiations continued, NSS authorities introduced their claims to the members of “Sasna Tsrer” group through me, and I introduced them to the group members. I won’t open the brackets, which were the claims, and what NSS authorities passed to the members through me. I informed on the proposal-demand and the members said that they would reply to them today at 7pm.
Steps are initiated towards disruption of negotiations. Until yesterday negotiations weren’t at a deadlock. Today disconnection of telephone numbers speaks of the fact that I need to connect to the members there, thus, by disrupting telephone connection, authorities disrupt my possibility to pass the reply to the NSS authorities until 7pm.
Disconnection of telephone numbers means a step to disrupt negotiations, the authorities should give me an answer in half an hour, if the authorities don’t give me an answer, this will mean disruption of negotiations.
Now is 12:14, if until 12:45 the authorities don’t connect me, it’ll mean they disrupt negotiations and go towards confrontation.
If they disrupt negotiations, they go to attack and if they go to that step, I pray for the situation…and the responsibility falls on the authorities,” Alek Yenigomshyan told reporters.
Right after the statement, reporters of 168.am edified how Alek Yenigomhyan received a phone call, to all probabilities, from the authorities.
“I didn’t violate the agreement, today a situation has changed,” Alek Yenigomshyan said replying to the phone call.
It’s not known what was said from the other side, however Alek Yenigomshyan was asking to restore connection with members of “Sasna Tsrer” group, as it’s the only means, by which he gets information from them. To all probabilities they agreed around some issue, as Alek Yenigomshyan said, “Ok,” and turned off his phone. He refused to give any comments.
Minutes later Alek Yenigomshyan told the reporter of 168.am that he received a call from the authorities, however, he didn’t provide details, saying he’ll inform later.
