We need no more blood, our silence was conditioned by the intention not to prevent, disrupt negotiations: Eduard Sharmazanov clarifies why he was silent
Executive Body of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) launched its consecutive session, as developments have been recorded throughout last 5 days, the Executive Body discussed that issue. Eduard Sharmazanov, RPA spokesman, RA NA Vice President, told this after the session of the Executive Body.
“RPA supports exclusively peaceful settlement through negotiations. Tragedy has been recorded, we have lost our Armenian brother, one of our defenders,” Eduard Sharmazanov said, stating that today number one issue is solving the issue through negotiations.
He stated, that power structures mainly pursued one purpose—reach settlement of this complicated situation through peaceful negotiations.
Reflecting to the question why the party members didn’t give any interview, didn’t deliver any comments, Eduard Sharmazanov said, that his silence was conditioned by not disrupting, preventing negotiations.
“Rather nervous moments have been observed throughout these days and by the will of God morality, Christian values, love and tolerance win. I believe in both sides’ conscience, tolerance will win and with God willing we’ll avoid from another possible bloodshed.
We need no more blood. We don’t have enemies in Armenia. They are our brothers and sisters, there are lots of issues, however, number one issue is not that, but do everything possible to solve the issue peacefully. This is official position of RPA,” he said.
