NSS Strictly Urges Citizens to Demonstrate Prudence during Assemblies and Leave their Location in Case of Noting Suspicious Behavior or Items

A group of people having clandestine links with the gunmen who have taken control of police patrol regiment in Yerevan’s Erebuni district has been uncovered and arrested. The group supported different criminal acts in the past and currently continues supporting the preparations of new crimes.

The members of the armed group in the police regiment are now directly guiding and coordinating the activities their accomplices outside to incite clashes, chaos and criminal activities endangering the lives and health of the citizens.

Particularly, on July 21 V. G. was arrested who carried illegal weapons, including a grenade, trying to reach to the blocked part of Khorenatsi Street, but his criminal intentions were prevented before he would reach the mentioned place.

In addition, on July 22 M. A. was arrested who tried to carry bottles filled with flammable liquid (Molotov cocktails) to the same place and use them in case of possibility.

The National Security Service warns that other people having real intentions to support the criminal activities of the armed group have been identified and are under the permanent monitoring of competent state bodies. All legal and available measures are taken to prevent their criminal activities.

Considering the above-mentioned, the National Security Service strictly urges citizens to demonstrate prudence during assemblies and leave their location in case of noting suspicious behavior or items and instantly inform law enforcement agencies about that.
