Six Charged for Participation in Mass Disturbances

The Investigative Committee continues the preliminary investigation on the July 20 riots. Based on evidence, charges were filed against six people for taking part in the mass disturbances (Criminal Code Article 225, Point 2), destruction of property and violence against police officers.

The Court has approved the investigator’s decision on incarcerating the culprits. Another six suspects have been arrested. According to preliminary data, as a result of the riots 62 people sought medical assistance, out of which 37 were police officers and 25 civilians.

Forensics are determining the exact circumstances of the sustained injuries.

Necessary operations are underway to determine comprehensive, objective and full investigation.

Note: Suspect is innocent until proven guilty by the Court of Law.
