NSS Provides Details on Alek Yenigomshyan’s Arrest
The National Security Service of Armenia presents details on the arrest of Founding Parliament member Alek Yenigomshyan. Within the framework of the criminal case initiated in the National Security Service (NSS) regarding the July 17 ambush and capture of the Police precinct by gunmen, at 19:50 on July 27 citizen of Armenia Ara Alexander V. Komshuyan (Alek Yenigomshyan) was detained and later arrested at 22:30.
Komshuyan is suspected in assisting the gunmen in the abovementioned crimes (Criminal Code Article 38-219, paragraph 3, point 1). “Upon detainment, citizen Komshuyan used the services of a lawyer who was chosen by him. Taking into consideration Komshuyan’s disability, a Braille writing specialist has been involved to ensure Komshuyan exercising his rights and taking part in the judicial-legal proceedings,” the NSS statement reads.
